Longevity training

Perform today. Thrive for decades.

Most training asks what you want to look like in twelve weeks. OMNIFIT asks what you want to still be able to do at eighty — and works backwards, starting from one honest question about this week.

The idea

Fitness for the length of your life, not the season

Modern medicine made lives longer without making the last decades better. The gap between how long we live and how long we live well is where most people lose their independence — and physical capacity is the strongest lever anyone has against it.

OMNIFIT is a training system built on that one purpose. It decides what to train today, proves you're becoming more capable, and is designed to be sustainable for decades — not abandoned in March.

The trained one starts higher and stays above the threshold of independent living for roughly two decades longer. about 23 more years Threshold of living independently Training No training 30 50 70 90 Age Capacity
Everybody's capacity falls. Training raises the whole curve, so it crosses the line that matters decades later. Schematic, not measured data.
What you're training for

Name the things you want to still be doing

Training goals are usually abstract — get fitter, get stronger. These aren't. Pick the ones that matter to you, and the programme works backwards from them. Every one of them decomposes into capacities you can train today.

The four capacities

Everything trainable in longevity fits in four places

Movement capacity

Mobility, balance, control. It decides whether a stumble becomes a fall — and it's trainable at any age.

Speed & power

The capacity that fades fastest with age, and the one that catches you when you trip.

Strength & muscle

Muscle is a metabolic organ, not decoration. It's what keeps you independent later.

Aerobic engine

How much oxygen you can use — the single strongest physical predictor of how long you live.

How those four are put together — and why the order of a week matters

How it works

One question. Then the plan does the thinking.

1

How many days a week can you commit?

Not what you wish — what survives a bad week. One day a week is a real answer, and we build for it honestly.

2

Your week plans itself

Sessions are placed across the week, balanced across the four capacities, and every day tells you why it's the right one.

3

Every session has five versions

Full gym, minimal kit, no equipment, a harder level — and a 12-minute version for the day life gets in the way. It counts.

4

Progress you can't fake

Results, benchmarks, and a monthly picture of what you've actually done. Badges are earned by meeting a standard, never by tapping a button.

Questions people ask

Straight answers

I'm 55 and I've never really trained. Is it too late?

No, and the research is unusually clear on this — people starting resistance training in their seventies and eighties still gain strength and muscle. What changes with age isn't whether you respond, it's how long recovery takes. So the programme gives you fewer hard days and more easy ones, not an easier version of the same week.

I have a bad knee. Can I still do this?

Usually yes, but honestly: we can't examine you. Every movement has an easier rung and a no-equipment substitute, so most people work around a cranky joint by swapping the movement rather than skipping the session. If something is genuinely painful — not just hard — that's a physio question, not an app question, and we'd rather say so than sell you a workaround.

I already lift and run. Do I need this?

Possibly not, and that's a fine answer. If you already train strength twice a week, do genuinely hard aerobic work, and spend time on balance and mobility, you have the four capacities covered. What most people in that position are actually missing is the boring end — Zone 2, single-leg balance, and power that isn't just heavy. Take the check; if it says you're covered, don't pay us.

What happens if I miss a week?

Nothing. There's no streak to break, no badge you forfeit, and the plan doesn't scold you. It re-plans from where you actually are. The single biggest predictor of whether training helps you at eighty is whether you were still doing it at seventy — and streak mechanics are very good at making people quit.

Do I need equipment?

No. Every session generates a no-equipment version, and the substitution happens on each movement rather than by deleting the hard parts. One pair of dumbbells or a single kettlebell opens most of the rest.

Is this medical advice?

No. OMNIFIT is a training system for healthy adults. It never interprets bloodwork, never diagnoses, and it will tell you plainly when a question belongs to your doctor. If you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from surgery, talk to them before you start — that's not a disclaimer, it's the actual advice.
